Calling out to all high school students:

Do you need to fulfill your volunteer hours but don’t know where to start?

Do you want to meet like-minded individuals around your age who also want to make changes in the community?

Do you want to learn more about career development and other life skills that will get you prepared for the real world?

Do you want to get references from renowned local non-profit organizations that will help you with your university and/or job applications?

Enoch Youth Outreach is launching a brand new program for youth between Grades 8 to 12 to help them explore local volunteer experiences while fulfilling their Graduation Transitions requirement.

  • Experience! (Volunteering)
  • Explore! (Career Development)
  • Equip! (Learn Leadership Skills)

At the end of the program, each student will:

  • have fulfilled 15 hours of volunteer experience completed at various local non-profit organizations
  • have learnt about career development skills and other life skills at our workshops
  • receive a reference letter from Enoch Youth Outreach for completing the program

This team-oriented program is facilitated by experienced youth leaders who will coach students to develop foundational work and life skills such as interpersonal communication and team work.

Six Saturdays from April 14 through May 26, 2012

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Sharing farm
  • Soup kitchen in Downtown Eastside
  • Local food bank
  • Animal shelter
  • Care home for seniors

Cost: $50 or $40 if registered before Early Bird deadline
Early Bird: 2012-03-31

This tour is co-sponsored by Enoch Youth Outreach Society and Sacrificium with a special VIP backstage tour arranged by Fairchild TV.  This one day event will give participant and eye-opening exposure of the production of a large scale Broadcasted stage production “New Talent Singing Awards”.

The one-day tour includes:
-Guided backstage tour led by Fairchild TV producer
-Attendance of dressed rehearsal
-Workshop on stage production
-Attendance of actual performance of New Talent Singing Awards
-Dinner

The Lower Mainland is visited by millions of birds during their annual migration along the Pacific Coast.  With the heavy development of our cities the habitat of these birds are affected.  Thankfully there are protected areas like the George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary that is preserved for the birds where they are protected from harm.

Come join us to enjoy an afternoon of bird watching and reflect on how we may live in harmony with these feathery friends in nature.

As co-habitants on Earth, we are responsible in taking care of the place and environment we live in. Through simple actions, we can make a difference to change our environment. Collecting water bottles, taking public transit, carpooling, washing the car on the lawn, using less electricity, blackberry picking, composting and many more are just simple ways to practice “Earth Care”. To promote responsible consumption and recycling, E-square will need your help in collecting OLD batteries lying around at home. Old Batteries can be recycled to make new batteries and other stainless steel products. As a simple step to change our environment, E-square will be having a Old Batteries Collection Drive. Our goal: Collect 100 lbs of NON-Rechargeable Batteries for recycling by June 19, 2010! Join our campaign!
